Importance of appraisal report when you buy a property

When buying a property in Turkey, unlike other countries, expenses that you can expect are going to surprise you and are reasonably low.

Before you start the process we would like to inform you about some steps.

There are some additional expenses that will arise from legal purchase procedures, along with tax and service fees.

One of these steps is getting a certified legal appraisal report which must be prepared by a government authorized appraiser company.

For foreigners, an appraisal report showing the value of the property is obligatory before the title deed transfer in sales.

The appraisal report has to be SPK validated which is the legal authority for certifying valuations.

The cost of the SPK validated appraisal report is approximately 1.000-2000 TL.

Depending on the city and features of the property it may differ.

Buyers pay this fee directly to the SPK validated expert company.

It takes maximum 2-3 days to complete the report.

The appraiser company will send the report digitally to title deed registration office.
